My Research
Many dating sims cater to pleasing gamers, with datable NPCs often portrayed as "goals you can achieve" or "levels you can beat."
In order to make a more realistic game, I need to answer:
How do people typically date?
Sending gifts to the character
The stats showing how much the character likes you
Choose the obvious right answer (usually you need to pay)
These types of dating sims exist for a reason.
However, this got me thinking: Is there a dating sim that prioritizes a more "authentic" exploration of the dynamics of dating?
I've learned by watching documentaries, reading research on dating, and keeping up with reality dating shows, podcasts, and relationship blogs worldwide (US, China, Japan, Europe...not every country, but at least a few).
